Six connected areas of focus

Protection and GBV prevention

Strengthening community protection structures, safety and gender-equality awareness, referral pathways, and appropriate services for women and girls.

Focus: Community protection, safe spaces, referral systems, legal awareness, counselling, and advocacy.

Child protection and psychosocial support

Promoting family and community support for children, psychosocial wellbeing, child-friendly approaches, and continued learning.

Focus: Case management, family support, child-friendly spaces, psychosocial support, and back-to-school outreach.

Peacebuilding, human rights and governance

Strengthening dialogue, reconciliation, civic awareness, and the capacity of local leaders to address tensions and disputes fairly.

Focus: Peace committees, community dialogue, human-rights outreach, civic education, and reconciliation.

Livelihoods and economic empowerment

Advancing locally appropriate opportunity, climate-smart production, savings and cooperation, enterprise, and women’s economic participation.

Focus: Climate-smart agriculture, savings groups, cooperatives, entrepreneurship, and women’s agribusiness.

Education and youth development

Expanding access to learning while helping young people develop life skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, technology awareness, and conflict sensitivity.

Focus: Community learning, youth leadership, entrepreneurship, life skills, and technology-supported education.

Disaster preparedness and resilience

Promoting understanding of climate and disaster risk, locally led planning, adaptive tools, and stronger early-warning awareness.

Focus: Risk reduction, disaster awareness, community planning, early warning, and climate-risk campaigns.
